Blog Hop: A little about me

I was invited to this blog hop by Shauna Allan, make sure you go check her out here!

About Shauna: Shauna is the award-winning author of the sexy, sassy Cupid Chronicles series, including the newly released Charlie's Angel. She's also a freelance editor, assistant to two NYT Bestselling authors, and Gerard Butler super-fan.

About A.L. Kessler!

1) What am I working on?

Currently I have three projects. On Torn Wings and Past Demons (Dwc #3 and #4) On Torn wings is almost ready for Betas and Past demons is half way written. I don't want to say too much about them because I don't want to cause a spoiler issue. :D The third project I have is Druid Blood, it's a new series and is my own twist on Scottish and Irish folklore dealing with supernatural creatures.

2) How does my work differ from others of its genre?

I don't focus on one supernatural creature, it's not all shifters or all vampires. I also don't focus on the sex (it's still there) and I add a bit of an urban fantasy feel to it all.

3) Why do I write what I do?

Writing paranormal romance was an accident. I was convinced that I could write a good story without romance, but then a chance to submit for an anthology came up and it was a chance I didn't want to miss. That's how I started writing PNR. I write steampunk for the same reason, I submitted for an anthology and found out that I really liked that world. Supernatural/paranormal was a given, I like the strange and unusual.

4) How does your writing process work?

Depends on the project, some of them I plot out some I don't. I always know my main characters before I go into it and an idea of how I want it to end. I use a lot of sticky notes and notebooks to put down ideas for later books or plot points.

Continue on the hop! Go meet K. Margaret next week!

K. Margaret is a writer of paranormal romance and a contributing writer on the Twisted Tales Blog. Her latest project is a paranormal series called Dark Dreams. The first book in the series, Dare to Dream, is due to be released in the fall of 2014.
