Let me tell you: 2013 chewed me up, spit me out, and I turned around to conquer it. It's been a wild ride and I'm excited to jump into 2014. Here's the highlights of my year:
Went to COSine and met some wonderful people who have helped me out tremendously and I have a lot to thank them for. Published Midnight Symphony, The Touch of Night, In the Light of the Moon, and Of Souls and Steam. I went to my first convention as an attending author (Indie Romance Convention) and met some amazing people there. I have written the next two DWC books, and I'm over halfway on the next Midnight book. On the flip side of things, my other personality has taken off and I landed two book contracts with Ellora's cave as Alexandra Webb, I'm half way through a co-written book as well. I have gained some great support on both sides of things and I couldn't have asked for a better year!
The downside of my year: I did end up going back to work part time, though it was for a good cause (IRC 2014!), I did have some drama surrounding DWC, but it's over and I'm moving on. I learned the hard way to look into and do your research when it comes to conventions. That's it. When I look back that's the only downside of my year, pretty friggin good year, I'd say.
So what's next in 2014? I promise you it's going to be an insane ride and I've been working hard to get a lot out to my readers. Here's a loose look (which means things can change):
